At the end of our unit you will be expected to demonstrate your understanding of the questions essential to this unit. These questions are taken from actual AP exams, or created by the instructor to suit our curriculum and study. You will face an objective multiple choice exam, but in addition you will have a chance to demonstrate your understanding of these bigger questions in a format of your choice. How you demonstrate your understanding will be up to you.
Some suggestions…..
Maybe something web based… web site, blog, podcast…..
Maybe something artistic… painting, songs, collage, poem, short story….
Maybe you could come up with something even better…
Creativity is appreciated and rewarded.
Historic content and reasoning is mandatory and essential.
This is your chance to get outside of the box. Enjoy!
Use all of the resources at our disposal... textbooks, library, bookstore, reliable websites, journals.
More detalis will follow.

TOPIC: Eastern Absolutism: The Rise of Prussia
Something to think about.... Has each nation/culture developed it's own distinctive character? If so is it fair to say that Russia's history created a culture in need of a strong leader (sheep without a shepherd, father czar, etc.)? If these two assumptions are true, could Russia truly become western when "Western" was defined as a society based on representative government?
Something else to think about... Russia didn't experience the Renaissance. Russia didn't experience the Reformation. Russia wasn't undergoing the scientific revolution. What does it matter?
At home... Print and read this powerpoint Louis Wars.ppt
