SUB PLANS MONDAY, MAY 7

BLOCKS 1 and 3: AP EURO

You will find copies of an AP Document Based Question on my desk.  There is also writing paper.  Please distribute each.  

The class will have 45 minutes to write.  Direct them to complete the DBQ by writing an essay, addressing the prompt and fulfilling the requirements for a DBQ.   Please hold them to this time, this is practice for the AP exam!  At the end of the 45 minute writing period, please write the following on the board:

• CIRCLE your thesis statement.

• Underline explanations of BIAS or Point of View.  

• Circle your document groups.

Allow five minutes for the students to complete the directions above.  Collect all essays.  

With the remaining time, the students should discuss the DBQ they just completed.  The remaining time can be spent studying for the Exam.

PLEASE WRITE ON BOARD:  Homework due TOMORROW!  12 Taboo Review cards.  Choose 12 essential vocabulary terms, names, or events.  Then for each, carefully select the "dirty dozen" taboo words and write them on the card.

BLOCK 2 World Cultures

Please collect the weekend homework and leave it on my desk.
